Height 1.72m The sire of Crespo is the international jumping stallion Canturo (Bernardo Alves), who competed at the World Championship in Aachen and at the Olympic Games in Athens. On the dam line - Crespo’s maternal grandsire is the Cassini I son Candillo who jumped internationally. Below that is the Olympic stallion Quidam de Revel, sire of many international jumpers. Anchoring another stallion position is the famous Landgraf I, an extraordinary show jumper sire of Libero H, Leandra, etc. The next two stallions to be noted in the pedigree are the Cor de la Bryere-son Calypso I and the still valuable breeding stallion Rigoletto. Crespo comes from the Holstein line 474A. His great granddam Vanessa III was Holstein’s Champion mare and is mother of the approved stallion Calato. This family has contributed several Grand Prix jumpers and Approved stallions like Aldato, Deka, Montreal, Pessoa, Kyra, Cavalier ISH, Verdi, Notre Dame, Bubalu VDL, etc. Crespo perform well at his stallion test, scoring an 8.5 for his canter, posture & balance and rideability with an 8 for his scope. Crespo is a long-lined stallion who moves with elasticity and shows a very good canter. He jumps with style and good scope. In the stallion competitions, Crespo won in Enschede; placed 2nd at the final rounds at ’s Hertogenbosch, placed 5th at the CH Diever and was clear at the NIC Assen. As a 4-yr. old Crespo placed 3rd in the final of the Stallion Competition 1.10m class, winning the Stallion Competitions in Roosendaal, Zuidbroek and placed 5th in Deurne. The first foals of Crespo give a positive impression; they show blood, his same elasticity and easy canter. His daughter Hybritta MG was chosen as the best Jumper Foal of the NAWPN inspections in the USA. Expected breeding value: 147
